Fingerprints are finished!

Our fingerprints were taken and sent back to the USCIS today for processing! I have been thinking about our many reasons we are choosing to adopt from overseas, and especially Uganda. Here are some interesting facts:

Uganda's land area = 241,038 sq kms
Compare to Oregon's land area = 251,419 sq kms

Uganda's Population = 31,656,865
Similar to California's population = 36,500,000
and Compare to the US Population = 307,006,550

Orphans in Uganda = 2,500,000
Compare to Kids waiting to be adopted in US = 130,000

Percentage of Orphans in Uganda = 7.8%
Compare to percentage of Orphans in the US = .4%

All needs and all children are precious to the Lord. My prayer is for ALL kids who are waiting for families that they would get one soooooon!
