We're Home with Joseph Daniel Muwanguzi Schenk!

We are home after a three week trip to Uganda to get Joseph Daniel!  It was a great trip, but so hard for me to be away from Kenzie and Liam for so long - were they a sight for sore eyes!  God maneuvered us through so many little possible glitches - it was amazing to watch it all unfold and we are deeply humbled by God's power and plan.  The amazing staff of Bridge Africa and Loving Hearts took such good care of us - WOW!   Joseph is doing well, but lots of things are still scary and unsure for him.  Communication is sometimes difficult and we are just basically trying to get to know each other.  Keep our family in your prayers - that we would fully lay down our lives and plans for this little guy in this crucial time of developing a connection with him.

    SO glad to see our little friend made it home safe and sound with his new family. We'll continue to pray for Joseph as he transitions to the culture of a family! *LOVE that he seems to love his little monkey, too!

    Joseph has been in my prayers every night along w/ my own boys :-) It's not the same waking up & not seeing his handsome little face at the diningroom table. Hope you all are doing well & I'll keep praying!

    Just caught wind of your blog and your pictures of your new addition. Great, full of life, family of 5! Thanks for the update. It is fun to feel like we can be a part of this far away. We will be praying for you guys.

    So excited to see that little Joseph (or Jophes at CT would call him) in your arms, in your home!! Praise God!! This brought tears to my eyes. I will let Charles Tucker see these pictures to tomorrow. You should show Charles Tucker(David or Davit as they called him in the babies home) to Joseph. I wonder if they would remember one another. I will pray that you all are adjusting well!
