Summertime wait

Well, it's been a while since we've updated our spot. Finishing up the school year, chapter camp and traveling to Arizona to visit our wonderful partners in ministry have kept us busy recently. Now we have a future fourth grader and second grader - WOW, I can't believe it!

On the adoption front, we have finished up our homestudy and are getting close to sending in our immigration documents that will take about 3 months to process. Some time after that our info will be sent to Uganda so we can be matched with a child. The nebulous waiting is very difficult, especially for the kids. Our minds want to wrap themselves around some "facts" of how life will be with an adopted little one, or IF life will ever be with an adopted little one. Since Kenya closed in a drop of the hat, we often wonder about Uganda.

Currently, visas for adopted Ugandan children are being processed in Nairobi, and our prayer is that they will soon be processed in Kampala again. This will shorten our time in country when we go to pick up our child. We are, however, very thankful that they ARE being processed at all. This in itself is a miracle and an answer to many prayers.

Our primary comfort is that it's all in God's hands. We've done our part in the paperwork and by continuing to prepare, but really, all the big stuff is in His hands, not the hands of men or women, but in the hands of God Almighty who has His own specific wonderful plans. So now our work is to trust and wait on Him. "But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hands;" Psalm 31:15 Please pray for us as we do! Love to you all! J&H
